The World Championship began on Friday morning in Finland. There were three Blackhawks on the United States roster initially, but that number has been trimmed to two.
Defenseman Caleb Jones, who is a restricted free agent this summer, was sent home because of an undisclosed injury.
Team USA note: Caleb Jones not playing today and will not play in the tournament due to an injury. He'll head back to Chicago. USA has 23 players with them in Finland, but only 20 registered so far so there is still some roster flexibility.

That didn’t stop the Hawks players on the roster from making an impact, however. Caleb’s brother, USA captain Seth, scored the second goal of the morning (our time).
Seth Jones makes it 2-0 off of a Nate Schmidt pass.

And Sam Lafferty scored the fourth goal of the tournament for the United States.
