The Blackhawks have a lot of picks heading into Friday’s Rounds 2-7 part of the draft. They also have cap space they can weaponize to add more assets.
Late in the first round, it appears general manager Kyle Davidson has used that cap space to move up 13 spots and add a veteran goaltender, Petr Mrazek.
Mrazek, 30, has two more years left on his contract with a $3.8 million AAV.
More thoughts on the deal – and the player the Blackhawks selected at No. 25 overall (Sam Rinzel) coming. Stay tuned! What a crazy night.
