There will be hockey to watch, live, in August. Are you excited? We are!
The 2021 World Junior Championship had to be rescheduled because of COVID and will now be played beginning Aug. 9 in Edmonton. Two of the leading countries entering the tournament, the United States and Canada, are still conducting evaluation camps so their rosters aren’t set. But other countries have already submitted their lineups.
The Blackhawks have 11 prospects involved in the World Juniors right now, with ten in the camps for the US and Canada right now. Four of the Blackhawks’ 11 selections from the 2022 NHL Draft are in the camps: Frank Nazar, Dominic James and Aidan Thompson for the United States and Ryan Greene with Canada. Thompson was added to the USA camp on Tuesday.
Here are the Blackhawks prospects in the mix for the World Juniors right now.
