On Sunday afternoon, USA Hockey announced its final roster for this week’s World Junior Championship. Blackhawks forward prospect Frank Nazar was one of the final cuts from the roster. Three other Blackhawks prospects did make the final roster, however.
We knew Landon Slaggert would be on there; he was named an alternate captain this weekend. And defenseman Wyatt Kaiser is expected to play an important role on the blue line.
Dominic James, Chicago’s sixth-round pick (No. 173 overall) in this summer’s draft, scored a goal on Saturday afternoon and made the roster. James and Kaiser will be teammates again this fall at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
