World Junior Championship: Game Schedules for the 5 Blackhawks Prospects

Chicago Blackhawks

Tuesday marks the beginning of the 2022 World Junior Championship, which was rescheduled from December because of COVID. The Blackhawks have five players skating in the tournament now, and four of them skate on the first day of games.

Tuesday

United States vs. Germany
9 PM CT — NHL Network

  • The United States roster will feature three Blackhawks prospects: Landon Slaggert (an alternate captain), Dominic James and Wyatt Kaiser.

Wednesday

Sweden vs. Switzerland
1 PM CT — NHL Network

  • Center Victor Stjernborg is skating for Sweden in the tournament. Chicago’s fourth-round pick (No. 108 overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft, Stjernborg would have missed the tournament in December but is available and ready to go now.

Latvia vs. Canada
5 PM CT — NHL Network

  • Defenseman Ethan Del Mastro is skating for Canada in the tournament. He was a late addition to the roster because of injury.

Thursday

Slovakia vs. Canada
5 PM CT — NHL Network

Switzerland vs. United States
9 PM CT — NHL Network

Friday

Austria vs. Sweden
1 PM CT — NHL Network

Saturday

Austria vs. United States
1 PM CT — NHL Network

Canada vs. Czechia
5 PM CT — NHL Network

Sunday

United States vs. Sweden
9 PM CT — NHL Network

Monday

Canada vs. Finland

The quarterfinals of the tournament begin on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
