Blackhawks Send Colton Dach Back to Junior

After a strong showing in his preseason debut on Thursday night, the Blackhawks assigned Colton Dach back to his junior team — the Kelowna Rockets.

Dach, 19, signed his entry-level contract with the Blackhawks already. He looked good during the practices leading up to the Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase and scored a goal seconds into the first game, but left with a concussion that kept him sidelined until earlier this week.

The Blackhawks also released goaltender Mitchell Weeks from his ATO (he’ll go to Rockford).
