Pre-Gamin’: Blackhawks at Kings (9:30 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread, More

Chicago Blackhawks

After four long days away from game action, the Blackhawks get back after it tonight (late) in LA. They get another look at a Kings roster that gave them a tough battle last Thursday — a game that reminded us of the glorious battles these two franchises had back in the day when they were battling almost annually for Western Conference supremacy. Will tonight’s game give us the same drama? As a reminder, this game’s an ESPN+ special edition. Get your coffee and popcorn ready for a late night, kids!

Los Angeles Kings

Alex Iafallo and Alex Turcotte are out.

What to Watch For

  • The Blackhawks beat the Kings 2-1 on a Jonathan Toews overtime goal one week ago at the United Center. Chicago got the victory but I think we’d all agree they were outplayed for a lot of that game.
  • Even though the Blackhawks entered last week’s game as the top faceoff team in the NHL, the Kings won 60% of the draws in that game. Toews won only four of 17 at the dot in that game.
  • The Kings have won two games since their meeting with the Blackhawks last week. Chicago has only played once (a loss in Winnipeg on Saturday).
