For those who weren’t able to attend the celebration of Marian Hossa‘s career in person, or those who were stuck in some awkward or bad spots in the Atrium, hopefully you were able to watch the terrific tribute from home.
Marian was joined on the ice by family members, the top brass of the Blackhawks organization and the six players with whom he won three championships: Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook.
Eventually, the seven were joined on the ice by the Stanley Cup itself, and took a photo with the most beautiful trophy in sports.
Hossa thanks a lot of people in his speech, including the six guys who were on the ice with him and head coach Joel Quenneville. It was a terrific ceremony that lasted roughly 50 minutes. Here’s a collection of some of the sights and sounds surrounding the event at the United Center on Sunday afternoon.
