Pre-Gamin’: Blackhawks vs Jets (6:00 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread, More

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks will look to end their six-game losing streak tonight at the United Center when the Jets visit Chicago. Winnipeg (12-6-1) comes in third in the Central Division and 7-3-0 in their last ten while the Blackhawks (6-10-4) are now last in the division (in points) and are 2-6-2 in their last ten. Petr Mrazek will get a chance to bounce back from Wednesday night’s third period meltdown in Dallas. The collapse was far from his fault, but the goaltender wears the goals against average for the team failure.

Injury Report

Chicago Blackhawks

Tyler Johnson and Alex Stalock are still on IR. Sam Lafferty (upper-body) and Jarred Tinordi (“a little banged up”) are out today as well. This will be Lafferty’s second straight DNP.

Winnipeg Jets

Nikolaj Ehlers, Mason Appleton, Morgan Barron and Logan Stanley are all on IR for the Jets.

What to Watch For

  • The Jets are 5-4-1 on the road this season and have split their last two games, both on the road, with a loss in Minnesota before an overtime win in Dallas on Friday night.
  • Josh Morrissey’s 16 assists rank fifth among all NHL defensemen this season. He has 15 points at even strength and leads the Jets with 20 points overall.
  • The Jets come in averaging less than 3 goals per game (2.95), which ranks 21st overall in the NHL. The Blackhawks come in averaging 2.50 goals per game, which is “up” to 30th in the NHL. So maybe bet the under this evening?
  • Connor Hellebuyck has a .920 save percentage in the month of November and is looking like the Vezina Trophy winner many expect him to be every night.
