The Blackhawks head to the beautiful new UBS Arena to face the New York Islanders after getting their first win in almost ten years on Saturday night against the Rangers. The Isles will honor Clark Gillies tonight and are handing out a bobblehead of their late superstar. But the focus for many should be on how the Islanders fans react when Patrick Kane is on the ice. Lou Lamoriello has wanted Kane since he was in New Jersey and his team is playing well enough this season that the move might be an intriguing sell for the Islanders on the UFA-to-be with the full no-move clause.

Injury Report
Chicago Blackhawks
Tyler Johnson, Alex Stalock and Jarred Tinordi are on IR. Sam Lafferty is out. Petr Mrazek left Saturday night’s game against the Rangers.
New York Islanders
Kyle Palmieri is on IR. Cal Clutterbuck is hurt and out of the lineup (but not on IR).
What to Watch For
- The Islanders come in sliding, having lost their last two games. But they’re 6-4-0 in their last 10 and enter Sunday night’s game third in the Metropolitan Division with 30 points (15-10-0).
- The Blackhawks hosted the Islanders in their first game of November and lost 3-1. That was the start of a terrible month for the Blackhawks in more ways than the final score. Alex Stalock was knocked out of that game early by Casey Cizikas and hasn’t returned to the lineup since. Islanders head coach Brad Lambert said during his pregame media availability that he does not think there will be any carryover. We’ll see.
- Kane and Mathew Barzal are good friends. As I mentioned earlier, this could be as much a recruiting night for the Islanders’ star as last night was for Artemi Panarin and the Rangers.
- Söderblom stopped 28 of 30 in relief of Stalock on Nov. 1.
