At the morning skate this morning, the Blackhawks had a few extra bodies on the ice. The media was told after practice on Thursday that forward Sam Lafferty was probably going to be ready to go on Friday night; he is in the lineup.
But we were also told that defenseman Jarred Tinordi was probably closer to coming back after a few more days, so Tuesday night against the Washington Capitals was the more likely scenario.
And here we are, sitting at the United Center watching the team skate onto the ice and BOOM the Blackhawks announced Tinordi has been activated off IR and he’s on the ice for warm-ups. Caleb Jones, who was slated to skate with Connor Murphy on the second pair, is not on the ice to warm-up. Ian Mitchell is still in the lineup it appears.
Are we officially on hug watch at the United Center?
Boris Katchouk (a forward) and Filip Roos were expected to be healthy scratches. They’re now joined by Caleb Jones…
A corresponding roster move was not announced by the Blackhawks. Another player didn’t replace Tinordi on IR and nobody has been traded (yet, that we know of). Stay tuned…
