The Blackhawks will be well represented on Canada’s roster as they look to defend their World Junior Championship title from this past summer.
Defensemen Ethan Del Mastro, Kevin Korchinski and Nolan Allan and forward Colton Dach made the cut. Unfortunately, despite scoring twice in the tune-up game on Monday, Boston University forward Ryan Greene did not.
Del Mastro and Dach are both the captains of their current junior teams as well. We’ll see if Del Mastro wears a letter for the tournament as a returning player. He is one of eight players on the roster who were part of the championship team this past summer. He’s joined by Bedard, Stankoven, Othmann, Roy, Gaucher, Ostapchuk, and Zellweger in playing for a second gold in a few short months.
The games will be held between Dec. 26, 2022 and Jan. 5, 2023 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
