What to Watch For

  • The Blackhawks have a chance to start the new year with a win. They finished 2022 going 4-20-2 after the start of November. Four wins in two months. Not ideal.

  • In the month of December, the Sharks (3.27) average twice as many goals per game as the Blackhawks (1.62), who were dead last in the NHL in the final month of 2022.

  • The Blackhawks ranked 28th in the NHL in goals against per game in December (3.77). The good news: San Jose was dead last in goals against (4.17). So… yeah, still don’t bet the over.
