Lukas Reichel has had a very good season in Rockford. He was called up for the second time this year earlier this week, and had to answer questions about how confident he was that he could find the back of the net at the NHL level this time around.
See, Reichel had played in 12 NHL games before joining the Blackhawks for Friday night’s game against Arizona.
He had easily his best NHL game on Friday night but didn’t score. He didn’t waste time on Sunday night getting on the board with his first career NHL goal. At 2:39 into the first period, Reichel beat former Blackhawk Nikita Zadorov to the net and made it count.
