Blackhawks Assign Brett Seney to Rockford, Recall Jaxson Stauber
Alex Stalock missed the Blackhawks’ practice because of an illness on Tuesday, and it appears he might not be quite right before Chicago hosts the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night.
On Wednesday morning, the Blackhawks recalled goaltender Jaxson Stauber from Rockford. To make room for him on the NHL roster, Chicago assigned forward Brett Seney to the IceHogs.
Stauber, 23, has a 6-4-0 record with the IceHogs this season, with a 3.06 goals-against average and .896 save percentage. He signed with the Blackhawks as a college free agent out of Providence after last season. He has not yet appeared in an NHL game.
Seney, 26, appeared in the Blackhawks’ last two games.
