Isaak Phillips sat out a few games, but got back in the lineup for the Blackhawks on Thursday night and played well.
Saturday night’s first period was a struggle. He ran up a minus-three as the team around him completely imploded in a six-goal “performance.” Everyone was bad, but Phillips was on the wrong end of his share of Seattle goals.
So when the Blackhawks tried to push back in the second period, it was great to see the rookie defenseman jump into the rush and score his first career NHL goal.
