Pre-Gamin’: Blackhawks vs Kings (6:00 PM CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks have won six of seven. I know, right? What is going on here? The team we wondered about being too good to tank in October has returned in the new calendar year. With the trade deadline in less than six weeks, individual performances will influence the potential return the Blackhawks could get for players on the trade market. But we still don’t know who’s leaving — and when.

What to Watch For

  •  Pheonix Copley had a Jordan Binnington-like performance last night in Nashville. He allowed two goals on the first three shots he faced and got pulled 39 seconds into the game. The Kings allowed three goals in the third period and lost 5-3 in Nashville.
  • The Kings (56 points) are clinging to the top wild card spot in the Western Conference and are one point behind the Oilers for third in the Pacific Division. But they’re 5-5-0 in their last ten and come to Chicago riding a three-game losing streak.
  • LA has been rumored to be hunting for a defenseman to help their back end. There might be a couple guys in read tonight who could help that situation.
