Pre-Gamin’: Blackhawks at Canucks (9:00 PM CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks will be the answer to the trivia question “Who did the Canucks play in Rick Tocchet’s first game as head coach?” forever. So we’ve got that going for us, which is nice. The atmosphere in Vancouver could be unlike just about anything we’ve seen in the NHL this season in the wake of Bruce Boudreau’s ridiculous firing. This one could be very, very interesting to watch.

What to Watch For

  •  What the hell are the Canucks going to look like with a new coach? And what is the environment in the barn going to look/sound/feel like?
  • The Blackhawks won six of seven before taking almost three full periods to get off the bus against the Kings on Sunday night. They started slow in St. Louis on Saturday night, too. Can they have a better first period?
  • What will the lineup look like to start? And how will it evolve without Tyler Johnson on the trip? We’ll see how head coach Luke Richardson uses his forwards and adds Filip Roos in this volatile game.
