Still no Jonathan Toews tonight for the Blackhawks; he’s still dealing with the non-COVID illness he brought back from the All-Star break. That hasn’t kept his name out of the buzz on the ol’ social medias today, however. A report that he, and Patrick Kane, has been furnished with a list of interested teams should either be willing to waive their no-move clause got my attention.
It’s also noteworthy if you’re tuning in or attending tonight’s game that the Blackhawks will observe a moment of silence and share a video montage to note the passing of Bobby Hull.

Injury Report

What to Watch For
- The Ducks lost in Dallas in a shootout last night. So late-night travel and a long loss could play on a team opening their “second half” in a back-to-back road scenario.
- The Ducks have the worst goal differential in the NHL (minus-81 in 51 games). The Blackhawks own the third-worst in the league (minus-58). Maybe a good night to bet the over?
- Anaheim enters tonight third in the Battle for Bedard, percentage points behind the Blackhawks though Chicago has three games in-hand. So this game has direct draft implications.
- Trevor Zegras is worth the price of admission. He’s special and a flashy player.
