Pre-Gamin’: Blackhawks at Maple Leafs (6:00 PM CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

The second night of back-to-backs are always tough. When you’re on the road, they can sometimes be tricky with travel in between. When the second half is on national television in the US and Canada against another Original Six team — this one a powerhouse with one of the best players in the game returning from injury — it’s a hard ask. And when there are trade rumors swirling around your best defenseman and future Hall of Fame forward and the team you’re about to face… a recipe for disaster. And Vegas seems to think the Blackhawks have zero chance.

What to Watch For

  • Cole Guttman will reportedly make his NHL debut tonight.
  • Auston Matthews will draw back into the lineup after missing three weeks.
  • The Blackhawks got their butts kicked on the scoreboard and physically last night. They had a half dozen players talk to the medical staff at some point during the game, including Max Domi, Jason Dickinson and Tinordi. So what the Blackhawks have in the tank will be interesting to watch. MacKenzie Entwistle is reportedly a scratch and Brett Seney is on standby in case anyone else can’t go.
