Pre-Gamin’: Blackhawks at Coyotes (8:00 PM CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks’ five-game win streak crashed to an end in Anaheim last night, but I think we probably expected the team to struggle after trading away three players in the 24 hours prior to the game. Without Jack Johnson and Jake McCabe on the blue line and Sam Lafferty up front, the struggle was going to happen. When you tried to integrate two new players who came in through those deals on the fly, it’s harder. We’ll see if they look any more cohesive tonight in Arizona (hint: they might not).

What to Watch For

  • The last game Jakob Chychron played for the Coyotes was against the Blackhawks on Feb. 10. He’s still sitting out as a healthy scratch waiting for a trade 18 days later.
  • The Blackhawks continue integrating new faces. Joey Anderson and Andreas Englund made their debuts last night after being acquired in the 26 hours prior to puck drop. We’ll see if they’re more comfortable with no morning skate today.
  • Philipp Kurashev missed last night’s game sick. Hopefully he can go tonight. Otherwise we might be looking at an 11 forward, 7 defensemen lineup out of necessity. Colin Blackwell got hurt last night (groin) and head coach Luke Richardson said after the game he would likely miss some time.
