Blackhawks Sign Luke Philp To One-Year, Two-Way Extension

On Thursday afternoon, the Blackhawks announced the team has signed forward Luke Philp on a one-year, two-way contract that runs through the 2023-24 season (that’s next year for those scoring at home). The deal has a $775,000 salary cap hit.

Philp, 27 signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Blackhawks before the current season that has an NHL cap hit of $750,000. He has appeared in two games in the NHL and is currently with the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL. He has 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists) in 43 games with Rockford this season.
