Seattle Will Be Lukas Reichel’s Last NHL Game This Season
According to reports out of Seattle, Saturday night’s game will be Lukas Reichel‘s last in the NHL this season.
Reichel, who turns 21 on May 17, enters Saturday night’s game with six goals and seven assists in 22 games in the NHL this season. He also has 17 goals and 29 assists in 51 games with Rockford this year.
Previously the coaches had expected Reichel to finish the regular season with the Blackhawks before heading to Rockford, but it appears the IceHogs could use some help to secure a playoff spot, much less make a deep run. Getting Reichel back to help lead their offense will be a huge help, but the hope is that it doesn’t come too late in the regular season.
Rockford is currently fifth in the AHL’s Central Division, one point back of the Iowa Wild and just two points ahead of the Chicago Wolves. The IceHogs have four games left on their regular season schedule after Saturday, starting against the Wolves on Tuesday night in Rockford.
The Blackhawks will finish their regular season seriously short-handed up front. Taylor Raddysh’s regular season is reportedly over as well.
