The Dallas Stars lost tonight — badly. Vegas put a 6-0 beat-down on them in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final, ending the season for the Stars. Which means we now know where the Blackhawks’ full slate of draft picks rest in the 2023 NHL Draft.
At last year’s draft, the Blackhawks acquired Dallas’ third-round pick in this summer’s draft from the Arizona Coyotes for a third-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft; the Coyotes selected Jeremy Langlois with the 94th overall pick past summer.
Chicago now owns nine of the top 100 overall picks in the 2023 NHL Draft — one that has been touted as being historically deep. Even without a pick in the sixth round, the Blackhawks are stacked with eight picks in the first three rounds and their own early in the fourth round.
Here’s where the Blackhawks’ picks line up in the entire 2023 NHL Draft:
1 — 1 (CHI)
1 — 19 (TB)
2 — 35 (CHI)
2 — 44 (OTT)
2 — 51 (TB)
2 — 55 (NYR)
3 — 67 (CHI)
3 — 93 (DAL)
4 — 99 (CHI)
5 — 131 (CHI)
7 — 195 (CHI)
