Bad news on the prospect front: Minnesota-Duluth head coach Scott Sandelin told the media on Wednesday that Dominic James‘ season is over because of an upper-body injury suffered this past weekend.
James, 21, was originally a sixth-round pick (No. 173) by the Blackhawks in 2022. Last season he improved in every area on the ice for the Bulldogs, posting career highs in goals (10), assists (18) and points (28) in 35 games. He missed some time because of an injury last year as well. James was an alternate captain for UMD this season.
James was also the best faceoff man at the 2022 World Juniors where he represented the United States.
