There will be Blackhawks skaters on the ice on Wednesday morning! On Friday and Saturday nights this week, a collection of Blackhawks prospects will play games against prospects from the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues in this year’s edition of the Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase. This year’s showcase will take place in St. Louis (which means it should be in Chicago next year).
The Blackhawks will send three of their 2024 draft picks to the showcase, led by No. 2 overall pick Artyom Levshunov. They will also send two forwards (Frank Nazar and Landon Slaggert) and one defenseman (Ethan Del Mastro) with NHL regular season experience.
This is the first exciting moment that tells us Blackhawks hockey is (almost) back! So here’s everything you need to know for the coming week’s hockey.
