While we don’t know much about how/when/where we’ll be able to watch Chicago Sports Network, we found out on Friday who will be working as the in-studio team for Blackhawks broadcasts in the first year of the network.
From the release:
CHSN is completing construction on a state-of-the-art studio located in the United Center atrium that will feature a retractable wall. The innovative design allows fans to interact directly with live broadcasts and their favorite on-air talent, creating a different look, feel and delivery than traditional shows alongside an engaging in-person gameday experience.
Pat Boyle will be back as the anchor on the desk for Blackhawks pregame, postgame and intermissions. He was the primary anchor for NBC Sports Chicago for two decades.
Caley Chelios will return for both Blackhawks studio work and will serve as the backup color analyst when Darren Pang is on a national broadcast.
Tony Granato returns to the studio as well, which is great news.
Veteran broadcaster Rick Ball will be the Blackhawks’ new play-by-play voice this season with Pang and Chelios.
