The Dallas Stars are in position to make a deep run this postseason. But the long-term loss of Tyler Seguin up front and, now, Miro Heiskanen being week-to-week (likely out until March) meant they needed to fill a couple holes.

The Stars are acquiring center Mikael Granlund and defenseman Cody Ceci from the San Jose Sharks.
The Sharks are getting Dallas’ 2025 first-round pick and conditional fourth-round pick in the deal. The fourth rounder becomes a third if the Stars make the Stanley Cup Final.
