THE CHICAGO BULLS HAVE A POINT GUARD.
Tonight, with the No. 7 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft the Chicago Bulls selected Coby White. Wooooooooo! This is actually good. I’m not used to this feeling.
After a long road of speculation and pre-draft anxiety, the Bulls made the safe pick and brought home what the team needed most (and they did it without giving anything up!). No matter the crazy trading circumstances, the Bulls were always linked most heavily to landing White in almost all mock drafts, despite not bringing him in for a workout.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bulls front office feels just fine about this pick… well, actually they feel perfect.
"Perfect fit," is how the Bulls front office describes Coby White. "Love him." https://t.co/5dzklS5Fjl

We have talked endlessly about what White can bring to the table, and obviously will continue to do so. But, in short, White is an incredibly quick and flashy guard that acts as one of the best scoring threats in this draft.
In his one year at UNC, he broke Michael Jordan’s freshman scoring record for crying out loud!
White might need to learn how to be a bit more of a facilitator to mesh with the duo of Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen, but the 19-year-old has proven to have strong court vision and the tools to develop into a strong all-around point guard in this league. Honestly, I’m already drooling thinking about this team in transition.
Anyway, more to come. For now, make sure to go check out our Getting to Know article on the new Bulls point guard.
LET’S GOOO.
