Land ho!
Our ride through the endlessly quiet void of the NBA offseason is almost over, and we have the sights to prove it! The Chicago Bulls shared a package of photos from today’s team workout, where guys are doing things and stuff:

Zach LaVine has already been quick to share the snapshots of him on his Instagram with the caption “And we BACK.”
Well, we’re happy to see you back, Zach.
Over the summer, players have shared numerous photos and videos of them working out individually or in small groups, but we have yet to see the team’s top players all on the court at once. LaVine has especially been keen on working out on his own this summer, so it’s very nice to see him back in Chi-town.
Even nicer though are the shots of him and Markkanen working in close quarters. The two players are stepping into the 2019-20 season with high expectations over their heads; not to mention, the potential to become one of the Eastern Conference’s top-young-duos feels like it’s there for the taking.
Although, simply put, the team’s overall chemistry is what’s most important this upcoming season. With a revamped coaching staff and several new faces, the Bulls are poised to look very different on the court this season. Players like Tomas Satoransky, Thaddeus Young and No. 7-overall draft pick Coby White are bound to have a lasting impact on this team. The addition of White specifically signifies a much faster style of play, which could mesh quite well with LaVine’s athleticism.
I can see the future 👀

White does need to focus on his facilitating ability though, which will most likely be what keeps him out of starting lineups at the beginning of the season. Regardless, the rookie point guard spending time on the court with his team’s four projected starters is a great sign, as Carter Jr., Otto Porter, Markkanen and LaVine all were in attendance.
With most of the Bulls players now putting in work at the Advocate Center in Chicago, and Satoransky hooping it up in the FIBA World Cup, the NBA season finally feels like it’s upon us.
We’re so close, I can taste the basketball (ew).
