Thank Jebus for the Hawks: Bulls Whip ‘Em Again for a Season Sweep, 116-81

Chicago Bulls

Believe it or not, the Chicago Bulls have picked up a series sweep. The Bulls won their third and final matchup against the Atlanta Hawks this season in yet another dominant performance (116-81).

I know, the Hawks are bad, but the Bulls truly look like one of the best freaking teams in the league when they play this squad. The team shot 49.4 from the field and 48.4 from downtown. Six players total scored in double-figures, and the Bulls walked away with their third 20+ point victory over this team.

The Bulls won the first game by 20, the second game by 34, and tonight’s game by 35.

With how terrible the Hawks have been, we can’t really take anything major away from this game. However, it’s still nice to see this group come out strong after the holiday break. All things considered, the Bulls have played better basketball this month, and for at least one day, the team will hold a winning record in December at 7-6. With the Bucks up next, a miracle will have to happen for the Bulls to finish with an above .500 month, but hey, it’s some progress.

Another encouraging sign, Lauri Markkanen had one of his best games of the season. He led the team in scoring with 25 points on an efficient 8-14 shooting (4-9 from downtown). Oh, and it was in just 22 minutes of action.

More highlights from the rest of the squad:

Wendell Carter Jr. had two 3-pointers in a game for only the second time in his career, by the way.

Ugh, when this team gets going, they can be so fun to watch.

Can anyone make these players special contacts that make it look like they’re playing the Hawks every game?
