OH MY GOODNESS, COBY WHITE.
One night after dropping a career-high 33 points in a loss to the Phoenix Suns, White matched that total and helped the Bulls snap an 8-game losing streak with a 126-117 victory over the Washington Wizards.
Over two days, White has scored a total 66 points and, uh, that’s kind of a big deal.
Coby White is the first Bulls rookie to record consecutive 30-point games since Michael Jordan, who had 8 different runs of multiple 30+ games in his rookie year.

The rookie @CobyWhite joins Trae Young and Allen Iverson as the only rookies to have consecutive games with 33+ points since 1992.

Add the fact that he did this off the bench and it’s like a REALLY big deal.

I’M SO PUMPED!
Yes, this doesn’t cover up the fact that the Bulls are a complete dumpster-fire and will continue to shower us with horrible basketball on us for the rest of the season … but it’s something positive! All season long I’ve been aboard the White train, and though he’s had plenty of rough stretches, these past two nights have shown all of us exactly why he was worth so much hype.
The rest of the season is all about development, which means playing White for 34(+) minutes and encouraging him to create his own shot should be on the to-do list every night. Let’s keep this train moving at full speed!!
Coby White just dropped 33 points, matching a career-high set…yesterday.

Also, way to steal Zach LaVine’s thunder, Coby.
With his 174th 3-pointer of the season tonight, LaVine cemented himself as the franchise’s leader for made 3’s in a single season. Oh, and speaking of 3’s, this happened too:
FRANCHISE FIRST – Three Bulls (Young, LaVine, White) have made 5 threes in a game for the first time in franchise history.

Wow, for a meaningless win over the Wizards in a lost season, this game sure did have its fair share of cool moments!
The next game is on Tuesday against OKC, so enjoy this semi-decent feeling while it lasts!
