Today is a good day.
As far as I'm concerned, there are only two days of the week now: Last Dance Day and Not Last Dance Day.

• Either (1) we’ve been in quarantine too long or (2) we’ve been in quarantine WAY too long. Browsing the internet this morning, I came across an article by CBS Sports that was strictly about the fluctuation of Jordan’s liquor glass in The Last Dance. No, for real. Did I noticed the drink would have more or less in it throughout the first two episodes? Sure. Did I think anything of it? No, not really. I’m not trying to come off all sassy (*proceeds to be super sassy), but – spoiler alert – the documentary is edited. As director Jason Hehir described on the “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz,” Jordan’s answers or stories could come hours apart, but since they pertain to the same topic, it’s thrown into the same part of the documentary. I mean, were people also super confused when in some shots it was dark outside and others it was not?
• With that said, I do love that he’s just sitting there with a drink and cigar next to him throughout this whole thing. Total boss move. Also, there is a rumor going around that he could be drinking his own brand of tequila – which costs $1,800 a bottle. Even bigger boss move.
• The two episodes tonight are going to blow the first out of the water, aren’t they?

• All of this sounds fantastic, but I’m especially excited for the Bad Boy Pistons segment. Unfortunately, I wasn’t around to feel the pure hatred for the Detroit Pistons. Like many watching tonight, I’ve heard Chicagoans talk absolute trash about how that team played … and I’ve also watched plenty of footage. However, I’m ready for all us youngins out there to develop a true rage in our hearts for this team. And it’s only going to be easier when they are doing mega petty stuff like this:
Let's watch the Bad Boys win a title tonight.

• Question: Could there be a Bad Boy Pistons team today (not in terms of the physicality but league-wide hate)? The NBA is so different now and fan interest is so nationally spread out that it’s hard for everyone to bond over “hating” one team. I feel like the Heat were kind of that figure during the Big-3 era, but I can’t really think of any other squad. I wouldn’t throw the Warriors in there because Steph Curry is too much of a beloved NBA figure, and while people wanted them to stop winning, they were still respected for how they changed the game. I don’t know, it’s much more about hating on players than teams these days. (Michael: The Yankees certainly had that for a while in MLB, but not really anymore. Perhaps the Astros would have been that team after their sign-stealing scandal, but the pandemic has sort of washed their sins away.)

• I’m not exactly sure how I’d feel if someone tried to Rodmanize themself on this Bulls team. Part of me thinks it would be cool and the other part of me thinks it would be like Zach LaVine sticking his tongue out every time he dunked. It’d be cool once or twice … but that’s not your thing.
