The NBA restart officially tipped-off in Orlando, Florida tonight, when the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans took the court. And with basketball fans eagerly watching across the country, the NBA made a statement – one that we’ll likely see many more times over the next three months.
Every single member of the Jazz and Pelicans team, including the coaches, took a knee the moment the national anthem began. The refs followed suit, as everyone in the arena worked as one to raise awareness for the Black Lives Matter and social justice movement.
