The proof is in the … Cheese? (Michael: I’m sorry, Eli. We’re going to have to let you go.)
On Friday afternoon, Velveeta’s Twitter account answered a question about who would win the NBA’s 2020-21 Most Improved Player award. Why did someone feel the urge to ask a processed cheese company to share their take? And why did said processed cheese company decide to actually provide that take? Who cares! Velveeta picked Lauri Markkanen, and that’s all that matters!

If Lauri Markkanen doesn’t have a sponsorship deal in the works with Velveeta over the next 24 hours, I don’t know what he’s doing. I need to start seeing commercials with The Finnisher drenched in cheese as he dunks over cheesy competitors like Kraft Singles and Cheez Whiz.
The funniest part about this random prediction by Velveeta is that it actually feels possible. Markkanen is coming off the worst season of his career and has a proven player development coach at the helm of his team. The big man has shown glimpses of what he can do in the past, and there is plenty of reason to believe he can still take an All-Star leap sometime in the near future. Bulls fans, and apparently Velveeta, would love to see it.
