The Last Dance ended 178 days ago, and Isiah Thomas is still running his mouth about Michael Jordan.
Talk about living rent free.
Thomas’ latest trip down audacity lane takes him to a place where he declares he was dominant over Jordan. So much so, he wasn’t as keen to what His Airness was doing:
Isiah Thomas said he wasn't as focused on MJ as he was on Bird, Magic and other stars.

EL OH EL.
For what it’s worth, Thomas’ Pistons were 3-1 in postseason series over Jordan’s Bulls. So I suppose he’ll always have that to hang his hat on. Even still … it’s laughable that Thomas is holding onto this for dear life because it’s all he has going for him.
But that’s not what gets me here. For me, it’s that Thomas admits his focus was on Bird, Magic, Kareem, and others — and not Michael Jordan — is basically him snitching on himself in explaining why he was just 3-1 against Jordan’s Bulls in the postseason. The best of the best never let their guard down. They play with their head on a swivel and are always prepared for take everyone’s best shot. But because Thomas didn’t, that one time Jordan’s Bulls knocked over Thomas’ Pistons was enough to push them off the grid for good. And to that, I say good riddance to those chumps.
So if Isiah ever wants to fully understand why his Pistons aren’t held in high esteem like other repeat champions of that era, all he needs to do is look in the mirror. Or at minimum, re-visit his own statement in which he declared his focus wasn’t on a rising star who was on his way to being the Greatest of All Time.
