What to Watch For
• Welcome back, Jayson Tatum (NOT!). The Celtics No. 1 player is set to take the court again after missing several weeks due to a positive COVID-19 test. Tatum has not played since January 8th, and while I highly doubt head coach Brad Stevens will let him play his normal minute total, his presence is bound to make things that much harder on the Bulls. I’m curious to see how Billy Donovan plans to control the athletic beast and how often we see rookie Patrick Williams guarding the All-Star forward.
• The Bulls will once again be without their best rebounder, Wendell Carter Jr. Between Daniel Theis, Tristian Thompson, and Enes Kanter, the Bulls are going to have their hands full on the glass, which means Daniel Gafford must give this team a better showing than the ONE-rebound game we saw on Saturday.
• With Smart and Brown defending in the backcourt, LaVine and White might have a hard time finding the basket. With that being the case, I’d love to see an aggressive offensive night from Lauri Markkanen. The Celtics are allowing opponents to shoot the 4th-most free-throw attempts per game, so let’s hope Markkanen (and the rest of this team) can find a way to exploit that.
• If the Bulls win this game, I think it will be due to a strong performance from the vet mob. The Celtics bench isn’t necessarily packed with the most experienced bucket-getters, so look for the Bulls to try to turn up the heat when the starters are off the court.
