Pain: Knicks 107, Bulls 103 – February 3rd, 2021

Chicago Bulls

Ways not to win a basketball game include: shooting 6-36 from behind the arc, allowing 19 second-chance points, being out-rebounded 47-38, and playing with absolutely no energy until the fourth quarter.

Thibs and his Knicks players adjusted adequately tonight by pounding the pain from the paint from the start and focusing their efforts on what they do best. The Knicks’ 8th-ranked defense gave a sluggish Bulls team fits for three-straight quarters, and by the time these players found the same kind of ball movement they had on Monday night, the opposing team did enough damage.

Hey, at least the Bulls had a season-low nine turnovers, shot insanely well from 2-point land, and were kinda-sorta in a position to win, right?

Oh, they committed two turnovers and went 3/10 from the field in the final five minutes? Great.
