I’m going to keep this brief.
Yes, I’m bummed the Bulls lost another clutch game. No, I’m not ready to slander the players for this losing effort.
If you were pleased with the team’s effort in their close loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, then I believe you should feel basically the same way after this game. The Bulls competed until the very end and even bounced back after a pretty horrendous start (once down 15). The difference-maker tonight was simply that the Nuggets had an MVP candidate, Nikola Jokic, and the Bulls did not.
Chicago dished out 25 assists, scored 28 fast breakpoints, and won the turnover battle (13-10). They did several positive things, and they showed the kind of fight we want to see. It’s a loss I can live with.
Bulls move to 15-18. Pelicans on Wednesday. More tomorrow.
