Ahead of Friday night’s matchup with the Denver Nuggets, head coach Billy Donovan provided a positive update on Chandler Hutchison.
“I think he is moving closer and closer to playing. I’m not quite sure when that date will be, but I do think it will be sooner than later.”
Hutchison has missed the team’s last 18-games due to personal reasons, a matter that has not been elaborated on thus far (which is totally fine!). Prior to his absence, it didn’t appear as if he was going to be a mainstay in the rotation, but we also know Donovan’s lineup has remained rather fluid this season. So while it’s unclear whether or not he will have a significant impact upon his return, it’s nice to know the Bulls depth has been rounded-out.
Donovan also provided a promising update on veteran Garrett Temple, saying that the veteran has done “more and more” in recent days. He also didn’t provide an exact date for his return, but it sounds like it could also be sooner than later.
Woohoo for health!
