LaVine’s availability for tonight’s matchup with the Spurs is up in the air.
The All-Star guard limped off the court with an ankle sprain at the end of the Bulls loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday. The Bulls injury report currently lists him as questionable, however, it appears LaVine has every intention to still play.
Zach LaVine is on Bulls injury report, listed as questionable (50-50) with right ankle sprain.
BUT, asked about it today, this is what he said: “I’ll be fine. Youi know, I can play through some injuries. I’ll be alright.’’

At the end of the day, I’m sure the ultimate decision will be up to the Bulls medical staff. The last thing this team needs is for LaVine to risk making his current injury any worse. If everyone agrees, however, that things can not become more severe with normal game activity, then I sure do hope we see him out there tonight. After all, this matchup with the Spurs is supposed to be the team’s first with their completely revamped roster.
I’m craving some Vucevic and LaVine pick-and-roll!
All the New Bulls Should Be Available for Saturday’s Game (Except Daniel Theis)https://t.co/Mf0piRCxmV

(Michael: I agree with everything Eli said above, and I’m also really eager to see these two on the court together, but I can’t help thinking about how bad it would be to lose LaVine to an injury he could have avoided by being more cautious and missing one more game immediately after trading for Vuc. Basically, all I’m saying here is that LaVine better be really sure he can play and not just excited to get out there for a big game. I appreciate that toughness, but he’s too important.)
