After last night’s loss to the Warriors, Zach LaVine admitted to reporters that he might have to take some time off to heal his ankle, an injury he has tried to play through over the last two games.
Now, less than 24 hours later, we have gotten word that LaVine did not do anything physical in practice today and that he is questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Suns.
“It’s not great, just being honest.” — Bulls coach Billy Donovan on Zach LaVine’s ankle. He is questionable for Wednesday’s game at Phoenix.

I’m actually a bit surprised that the Bulls just haven’t ruled LaVine out completely, or at least labeled him as doubtful. I mean, if Donovan is going around saying things are “not great,” it sure sounds like he needs at least one night off. I guess one day of full-rest could do wonders heading into tomorrow, but two days of full-rest would help ensure even less risk of re-injury.
Anyway, my best guess is still that we don’t see LaVine tomorrow night. The Bulls will be better off moving forward if he just takes it easy for a game.
