What to Watch For …

•   While the Minnesota Timberwolves have the worst team in the league, the Bulls are in no position to take them lightly. Not only did the team post a concerning defensive showing in their last game against the Atlanta Hawks, but the Timberwolves took the Bulls to overtime the last time these teams met. Not to mention, D’Angelo Russell returned to the floor after missing 26-straight games. The one-time All-Star is averaging 22.7 points over his first three games back and shooting 39.1 percent from downtown.

•   Daniel Theis and Troy Brown Jr. – two of the Bulls’ better defenders – played the fewest minutes off the bench on Friday night. While the T-Wolves don’t present as much of an offensive threat as the Hawks, I’d still like to see both clock more minutes tonight. After all, Chicago was outscored a ridiculous 66-46 in the paint by Atlanta. That just can’t happen again.

•   Zach LaVine dropped 39 points in the first half on Friday night and ended with his first 50-burger. The game before that, he dished out a Bulls career-high 13 assists. Which LaVine will we see tonight?

•   Patrick Williams, Tomas Satoransky, and Thaddeus Young better come out inspired. Those three starters combined for just eight total points against the Hawks. Hard to win a game when that’s the case.
