Terrible news to start the week: Bulls Legend Scottie Pippen just took to Twitter to announce the tragic news that his oldest son, Antron, has passed away.
I’m heartbroken to share that yesterday, I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron. The two of us shared a love for basketball and we had countless conversations about the game. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/Zt3wo8wpcg

At the time, there is not much more information known. And it is, of course, possible (and reasonable) that we won’t learn more. All we need to know for today is that Antron shared a love for basketball with his father, and played the game at Texas A&M International. According to Pippen, his son suffered from “chronic asthma,” which he believes kept Antron from achieving an even greater level of basketball success.
I’m wishing the whole Pippen family nothing but the best. R.I.P., Antron.
