With only about 20 minutes before game time, news dropped that both Lauri Markkanen and Cristiano Felicio would sit out tonight’s battle with the Bucks due to illness.

According to NBC Sports Chicago’s Rob Schaefer, there is no mention of either player entering the league’s health and safety protocols, which feels like good news. However, we should probably wait until after we hear from head coach Billy Donovan in the postgame before we get too comfortable.
Markkanen’s absence, specifically, could be problematic for the Bulls tonight. While he has struggled to make a significant impact in recent weeks, he has scored in double-figures off the bench in two straight games. He could have had a good opportunity to do that again with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Donte DiVincenzo both out of the starting lineup, thus limiting the Bucks’ depth. Oh, well.
