The Chicago Bulls just made a statement.
Sure, their odds of making the play-in tournament are painfully low, and they have also massively underachieved since their blockbuster trade deadline, but tonight on national television, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic made sure people knew what was brewing in Chicago.
LaVine finished with 25 points after scoring just 13 in his return to the floor last night. Meanwhile, Vucevic gave the Celtics problems all over the court with the 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. It was the franchise’s first triple double since Jimmy Butler in 2017. Coby White also deserves a major shoutout for adding 25 points on SEVEN made 3’s.
Anyway, full disclosure, I’m in enemy territory tonight. The girlfriend and I were given tickets to the Milwaukee Bucks game, so I wasn’t going to let those go to waste (to be honest, though, I may have spent more time watching the Bulls on my phone then this game). Since I’m here, however, I’m not going to be able to make a normal box score graphic. I’ll link to the full thing below, and we’ll talk more about all of this awesomeness tomorrow.
In the meantime, watch this …
