What to Watch For …

•   Zach LaVine is out this afternoon due to knee soreness, according to head coach Billy Donovan. In other words, the Bulls season is over, so LaVine is going to get some extra rest (as he should). Donovan did not add any new faces to the injury report, but I do think it will be interesting to see how large of a workload guys like Nikola Vucevic and Thaddeus Young are handed. With no real incentive to walk out of New York with a W, I think we should see plenty of young guys/bench warmers today.

•   Speaking of which, there is no reason the ball should not be in Patrick Williams’ hands basically all day. A strong performance on this elite Nets team could do wonders for his confidence, and Donovan did apparently speak to him about taking more shots after the Bulls’ victory over the Raptors.

•   There is also no reason we shouldn’t see Devon Dotson get some more over these last two games. The rookie guard on a two-way contract has only made it in nine games this season, all of which were garbage time stints. I do think he has probably struggled to impress behind the scenes, but maybe he just needs some real competitive minutes to show what he can do. Can’t hurt to give him some of those today.

•   If Coby White wants to drop 50, I’d also be cool with that.

•   James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving … please have mercy.

•   More in here …

Get Caught Up …
