Look, if the Bulls are going to lose, I prefer it comes like that.
Despite a somewhat flat start and a scorch-the-earth first half for the 76ers, the Bulls held their head high. They were able to completely erase an 18-point deficit one game after erasing a 19-point deficit against the Celtics. The only problem was they couldn’t grab the W this time around.
I can live with that. The fact the team was in a position to win in the final few minutes is exactly what you want to see against a 76ers squad that held the East’s top seed last season. And while I know some are bound to yell, “no more moral victories,” calm down. I’m not even necessarily saying that. What I am saying is that I can handle this kind of loss, especially within the first handful of games of the season.
