I LOVE GOOD NEWS TO START THE WEEK!
Head coach Billy Donovan told reporters before tonight’s meeting with the Brooklyn Nets that Coby White has been cleared to practice! The third-year guard has yet to join the team for any traditional work since suffering a torn labrum back in June.

Donovan: "He will practice tomorrow with us. He will make the trip out west."
Question now is how much practice time he ends up needing before he can make jump to playing https://t.co/9TAY3joAN8

The news comes in wake of a recent ramp-up behind the scenes in White’s recovery. In recent days, White could be seen taking contact in 3-on-3 work with the player development staff. We then learned on Sunday that White played a 5-on-5 scrimmage with several team members.
Donovan also said that White will join the team on the five-game road trip that begins later this week. Now, while that is encouraging news, it still does not necessarily tell us that White will return by the end of the week. We have to remember the sparkplug scorer missed the entirety of training camp, and while he has been able to keep his conditioning up, getting caught up to game speed takes time.
Still, regardless of the exact return date, this is incredibly good news for a Bulls team that is desperate for an offensive boost off the bench. The team’s bench has averaged by far the fewest points per game of any in the league. Not to mention, the Bulls, as a whole, have also averaged the fewest 3-point attempts, which is an area White can certainly help bolster.
