Honestly, if these two just want to play the entire first quarter 1v1, I’m cool with that.

What to Watch For …
• Between the weekly preview and the bullets shared below, we’ve talked a lot about this matchup already, so I’ll keep things somewhat brief. The Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets sit side-by-side in the Eastern Conference standings, but the Bulls have a real opportunity to regain a comfortable lead with a promising performance tonight. This game in Chicago is just the first of several tough matchups for the Hornets over the next week-plus, as they will go from Chicago to Milwaukee to Atlanta before traveling back home for a two-game series against Joel Embiid. I know we’re only a quarter of the way through the season, so thinking about seeding is a bit foolish, but all wins and loses can eventually prove pivotal at the end of the season. Send these boys off on a touch stretch with an L!
• The Hornets currently lead the league in points per game thanks to shooting the best clip from downtown and operating at the 3rd-highest PACE in the league. Put differently, they are going to put up points in bunches, and it’s up to the Bulls to keep up. Even if Zach LaVine is officially ruled out, the Bulls should be looking toward Nikola Vucevice to help accomplish this. A game against a team that allows the 3rd-most points in the paint a night and is absent of their starting center should present the perfect kind of breakthrough opportunity for Vooch. Let’s hope we see old-school Vooch tonight!
• Chicago has failed to win the free-throw battle over their last five games. The Hornets send the opposing team to the line the 4th-most times per game. Capitalizing on this tonight could be huge, especially if the Bulls want to try to slow down the Hornets’ wicked fast pace.
